This post it's one of the most stupid things I have ever read about welfare state; please stop with this stuff and go to read "The Three World Of Welfare Capitalism" by the Danish sociologue Esping-Andersen. Esping-Andersen - The Three Worlds of Welfare Capitalism 1990. His preferred analytical construct is "motives, means and opportunities," a somewhat overused idea that he introduces in chapter 3 and uses throughout his empirical accounts. Esping-Anderson, G 1990, The three worlds of welfare capitalism, Princeton University Press, Princeton NJ. The regime outlined by Jessop can be further enhanced by Esping-Andersen's categorisation of the UK as a 'Liberal' welfare regime. To study the welfare state is to understand a novel phenomenon in the history of capitalist societies. State institutions are now preoccupied with the production and distribution of social well-being. One of the most influential writers on welfare states is Gosta Esping-Andersen. The so-called 'welfare modelling business' has been at the heart of comparative social policy analysis since the publication of Esping-Andersen's classic The Three Worlds of Welfare Capitalism. With social democratic politics, I would recommend reading Gosta Esping-Andersen's classic, Politics Against Markets: The Social-Democratic Road to Power (1985) and his The Three Worlds of Welfare Capitalism (1990). Eurostat n.d., Total General Government Revenue, Eurostat, viewed 14 March 2010, . Esping-Andersen, Gospin (1990) The Three Worlds of Welfare Capitalism, Cambridge:Polity Press. Lorenz, Walter (1994) Social Work in a Changing Europe, London-New York:Routledge. Three Worlds of Welfare Capitalism Esping-Andersen wrote “The Three Worlds of Welfare Capitalism” in the belief that previous theoretical models of the welfare state were inadequate. Back in 1989, he wrote a book called The Three Worlds of Welfare Capitalism in which he categorised welfare states into three kinds. The Three Worlds of Welfare Capitalism, Princeton: Princeton University Press, 1990. Book Description: Few discussions in modern social science have occupied as much attention as the changing nature of welfare states in Western societies. ATTENTI AL BUSINESS Sono invece più attenti al business gli abitanti di Trento: tra i libri più venduti c'è “The Three Worlds of Welfare Capitalism” e “Comunicare con Twitter”.
